Transcription Accuracy (WER)
Transcription accuracy is usually reported as Word Error Rate (WER). Psychiatric visits challenge WER with medication names, DSM terminology, and disfluent speech. Note quality depends on transcription accuracy but is not identical to it — a summarizer can hallucinate on a perfect transcript.
