Dictation
Dictation software (e.g. Dragon Medical) transcribes the clinician's spoken narrative into text verbatim. It is not a scribe: it does not summarize a conversation, and the clinician must compose the note verbally. Some psychiatrists pair dictation with an ambient scribe for addenda.
